ADVANTAGES of a Coax Plug to socket RF Lead
- Saves having to make up an RF lead to combine a satellite receiver or video to a TV
- It is a good quality cable
- 150cm lead is long enough for almost all TV units
DISADVANTAGES of a Coax Plug to socket RF Lead
- Picture is never as clear as when using a scart lead
- Not as flexible as a cable you make up yourself because you;
- can't vary the length
- can't vary the connector type (coaxial not F)
- can't very the connector gender
- Copper in the core of cable is thinner than in satellite cable, but this is normally not an issue in short 1.5m cable runs
- can't be used to connect a standard tv faceplate on wall to the TV i.e. you would need a male to male cable for this
