USES of a Stacker De-Stacker
- The Global Stacker De-stacker allow the upgrade of an 2 satellite dish feeds to be run down a single cable (stacked) and then split back out (destacked) into 2 feeds to feed a PVR satellite box (Sky+ etc)
Uses include:
- Feed a Sky+ box using a single cable
- Feed a Sky HD box using a single cable
- A non-subcription PVR box (Freesat+ HD Receiver)
ADVANTAGES of a Stacker De-Stacker
- Solves a major problem faced when installing or upgrading to Sky+ i.e. what to do when there is only one cable in the wall
- Works extremely well
- Easy to install
- Neat and compact unit
DISADVANTAGES of a Stacker De-Stacker
- The major drawback of a Stacker is the cost of the unit
- The stacker needs to be correctly installed if it is to work correctly
- Struggles on cables runs of more than 30m - but this is rarely needed
