USES of Free Standing Satellite Mounting Bracket

Normally used when there is no wall on which a satellite dish can be mounted:

• Apartment blocks
• Houses with the wrong aspect
• Caravans, mobile homes or boats 

Mount bracket:

•  bolt it to the ground by placing concrete blocks on the base to steady the bracket

Use with 

• Universal 80cm or  110cm satellite dishes

DISADVANTAGES of Free Standing Satellite Mounting Bracket

• More expensive that a sky dish mounting bracket
• Dish may be very close to ground so getting signal could be a problem
• Can be difficult to neatly run the satellite cable back to the house
• Stability can be a problem unless the bracket is securely bolted to the ground
