This is the 4th and maybe final video in our series of instructional videos on how to dowload & install flash. This one deals with the installation of flash player in Apple Safari. Our records show that this is the 4th most popular browser that people use to view our website. The are lots of other internet browsers out there including Opera, which we might make a video for in the future. At present, it’s usage to view www.tvtrade.ie is relatively low, if that changes, we will definitely make a video for it.
Installing Flash with Safari which is made by Apple is relatively quick and easy and you can see the video below on how to do this. We have as of today over 270 videos online and get a huge number of views on them every single day. They are one of the most popular features on our website and we just want to make sure that everyone can view them.

This is the third video in the ‘how to download and install flash’ series. This video in particular deals with how to install the adobe flash player if you are using an old version of google chrome. If you have the latest version of chrome, it is automatically pre-packaged with it and our videos will just work automatically but as I say, if you have an older version, you may need to complete this simple and quick procedure.
We have a huge range of instruction and demonstration videos on our website and it’s very important to us that people a) Know they are there and b) Are able to view them.
Anywhere you see a video, user guide or how to install tab, there are generally how to and demo videos contained within that tab. Ranging from the complex like how to align satellite dishes to the simple like how to auto tune satellite receivers. We are sure that there is something for everyone at every level of expertise.
We are working hard to make videos for everything and to that end if you have any suggestions for us, you can comment on the blog or contact us via our feedback form on out contact us page.
The second most common browser used to view the tvtrade.ie website is Mozilla Firefox. If you are having difficulty viewing our videos either on the tvtrade.ie website or on youtube itself, have a look at the video below and see how to download and install the flash player in firefox.
Now before someone says ‘How can I see the video if I can’t view youtube Videos?” Obviously, you will either have to view the video from either a different browser on the same machine or on some other computer that has the flash player installed. Actually if you download google chrome, it has the latest version of flash pre-packaged in it, so you could do this to see how to get the adobe flash player working in Firefox.

While we were doing the downloading and viewing youtube videos series of instructional videos, we thought that it might be a good idea to add in a video for how to convert them to somethig more useful. The video below shows how to convert n FLV youtube video into a more common format called avi. It uses a free program called format factory and is a fairly simple and quick procedure.
Why would you want to to this? Well, for example, say you were installing a satellite dish on a chimney and you wanted to watch the video while you worked using something like a portable media player, then perhaps it cannot display downloaded flv videos, you could convert it to avi which will play on nearly every device imaginable, load it onto the portable media player and watch it as you work. One of the satellite finders (Smart S10) that we sell actually has a media player built into it so you could watch it on this and locate the correct satellite all in one device.
Another common question we are asked by out customers is ‘How do we download your youtube videos?’
See the video below for the process. People might want to download our youtube videos for a couple of reasons. They might want to have it on their laptop or PC to view offline whenever they want ie, if they were doing a job, erecting TV Aerials, and weren’t quite sure what to do but had no internet access where they were doing the job, then our video could be downloaded and stored on the laptop for viewing at the place of work.
Another reason to download the videos is that people may want to view them offline using their television either though their laptop computer or maybe even their media player using external hard drives.
Some of our customers here at tvtrade.ie have asked us about why they cannot view our videos, either on youtube or on the tvtrade.ie website itself. In 99.99% of cases it is actually becase they have the incorrect version of the adobe flash player installed, or it is not installed at all. We have decided to do a series of installation videos to show how to do this.
Being able to view our videos is very important to us becase we have over 260 on the website now and they are essential for people buying satellite tv or aerial equipment, especially the DIYers.
Based on our logs, the 4 most common browsers used to view our website are; Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome & Apple Safari and we have made an individual video for each. See the adobe flash installation video below for Internet Explorer.
We will follow up with more videos in this ‘How to Install Flash’ series in the next few days.
