Just a quick post to let any of you know that are wondering why your Channel 4 HD has gone missing that it has move to a different satellite called Astra 1N. Anyone not using an official HD Freesat Receiver will have to tune it in manually. This will apply to any HD Free to Air & Combo Receiver.
Even though it has moved satellite, you can still treat is as a normal manual scan and the settings are as follows.
- Frequency: 11127
- Symbol Rate: 22000
- Polarization: V (Vertical)
- (optional ID=21200 Fec:2/3 DVB-S2)
if this doesn’t work, change FEC to 7/8
This has happened as a part of a series of moves to Astra 1N which will mean more channels for fans of free TV and more HD versions of same. This changes are expected to be rolled out in the next couple of months and will make Free TV Systems even more atractive that their subscription based counterparts.
