New Online Garden Centre Launched – TheGardenShop.ie

The Garden Shop
The Garden Shop

Today we are pleased to announce that we have launched a new Garden Equipment and Supplies website.  As you can see above the site is called The Garden Shop.  We hope to apply the same business model to this website, enabling us to offer a huge range of gardening products at the very lowest cost possible.

If you’ll excuse the pun, the website is ‘growing’ at the moment and has around 100 items in stock currently.  This will rise rapidly to 100s of items including watering equipment, lawn care products, veg seeds, flower seeds & bulbs, animal care (both domestic and wild), greenhouses, sheds, fencing, wire, tools etc to name but a few.

The good news for our existing customers is that your current login from TV Trade will also work on The Garden Shop (if you were registered before May 2011) so why not stop by and have a browse.

Of course, over time, we will have a massive selection of advice and videos on The Garden Shop website also to help guide you in your purchase and in the after care of products or seeds you may have bought.

Convert NTFS to FAT32 on External Hard Drive Without Losing Your Data or Files

Another request we receive from time to time is how to convert you external hard drive from NTFS to FAT32 without losing you files or data. We did a bit of research into this and knew it could be done alright but were unable to find a program that was free AND worked well. We decided to do a quick video using a program Called the Aomei NTFS to FAT32 Converter. This will perform the NTFS to FAT 32 conversion but your files and data will remain intact. Before you start the process, We Recommend that You Should Always Backup Your Data Before Carrying Out This Procedure. With the best will in the world, things somethimes go wrong and you should always have a backup of all important files. It’s a simple procedure and will works with all versions of windows.

Unfortunately, the Aomei converter is only a trial version and will only work with external hard drives up to 30GB in trial mode. If you decide to buy the product, then it will work on all sizes of external hard drive. We have no ties to Aomei and there are many programs that will allow you to carry out this NTFS to FAT32 conversion without losing your data or files but this is just the one we decided to show in the video to illustrate how it can be down and to show it working.

See the video below. Hopefully it will provide an insight into the procedure for those of you who have asked us to do a video on this.  Make sure to watch it in HD and full screen mode to get the best results.

Format an External HDD from NTFS to FAT32 on Windows Vista & Windows 7

We have finally got around to making up a video showing how to convert an external hard drive from NTFS to FAT32 using windows vista and windows 7. We had previously done up a video showing how to preform the NTFS to FAT32 conversion using a program called swissknife but it came to out attention that swissknife only works in Windows XP and backwards so would not work with Win Vista and Win 7.

So we have decided to make a dedicated video for the NTFS – FAT32 conversion if you are unfortunate to have a machine with Windows Vista on it and lucky enough to be able to shell out for a new windows 7 laptop or PC.

It’s a very simple process as can be seen from the video. You just need the correct utility to do the job. The program we will be showing in the video is called the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool and we will show in the video where you can get it for free. Once you have it downloaded and installed on you system, plug in your external hard drive or USB memory stick and MAKE SURE that you back up your date from the external storage device before you start the procedure as you will lose whatever data or files were on the device.

Why would you want to perform an NTFS to FAT32 file system conversion? Well the most common reason would be for use with Xbox 360s and PS3s but specific to the Satellite TV industry, some PVR Ready Satellite & Terrestrial receivers can only read FAT32 formatted external drives and some unfortunately do no let you format the drive using the receiver, so you will need to bring your External Hard Drive to a PC or Laptop to perform the NTFS to FAT32 conversion.

Hope you find the video useful, see below. To get the best results from the video, make sure to watch in HD and expand the video to full screen.
